Development of an FPGA-Based Robotic Anti-Electromagnetic Interference Unsorted Bin-Picking System

In response to the problem of robots needing perform bin-picking in many industries, a small robot system was developed with workpiece-position-detection based on Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) technology. The integrated object detection and feature matching techniques, bolstered by optimization methods, enhance its functionality FPGA platform. Furthermore, two-wire control bus designed specifically for reliable operation environments characterized strong interference, drawing inspiration from Controller Area Network (CAN) bus. experimental results demonstrated that system’s performance comparable point-cloud-algorithm-based system, while also exhibiting greater stability. Notably, cost controller significantly reduced, embedded hardware software design ensured stability adaptability deployment demanding settings, such as small-scale heavy industry factories.
